In a landmark press conference held at the Central Secretariat in Dhaka, Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho outlined a comprehensive blueprint for judicial reform in Bangladesh.

“The independence of our judiciary is not a privilege to be granted by the executive — it is a constitutional right of every citizen,” stated Chairman Partho, addressing a packed hall of journalists and legal professionals.

Key Proposals

The reform package includes the establishment of an independent Judicial Appointments Commission, transparent merit-based selection criteria for all judicial posts, and a dedicated fund for legal aid to ensure access to justice for marginalized communities.

Chairman Partho emphasized that these reforms are not merely aspirational but form the cornerstone of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party’s legislative agenda for the upcoming parliamentary session.
